Rhine Tower in Düsseldorf, Germany
Rheinturm (Rheinturm, which means "Rhine Tower" in English) in Düsseldorf, Germany, is a telecommunications tower located in the city center. The tower was built between 1979 and 1981 and stands at 240.5 meters (789 feet), making it the tallest building in Düsseldorf and one of the tallest telecommunications towers in Europe.
The tower is a popular tourist attraction with an observation deck at 170 meters (558 feet). Visitors can enjoy the observation deck's panoramic views of Düsseldorf and the surrounding areas. There is also a revolving restaurant called "Top 180," located at the height of 172.5 meters (566 feet), which completes a full rotation every hour, providing diners with a constantly changing view.
In addition to its tourist attractions, Rhine Tower in Düsseldorf serves an important telecommunications function. It is used for broadcasting television and radio signals throughout the region and as a hub for mobile phone networks.
