Early Life and Background

Born in London, raised in Lagos, and ultimately settling in Los Angeles, Déji's journey is a study in global diversity. The geographical distance from his parents and his fraternal twin brother, coupled with his upbringing in three major cities, instilled in him a profound passion for connectivity and mobility.

Education

His educational adventure took him to the California State University of Northridge. Here, Déji found himself deep in the study of computer science and the philosophy of technology. When the support he needed was lacking, Déji made the decision to step away from traditional education. This marked a transformative period in his life and set the course for a decade-long career with a major tech company, where he found the rich, supportive learning environment he craved.

The Path

But it was Déji's passion for travel, creating, and connecting that truly defined his journey. With a drone purchased in 2020 and experiences from over 50 cities across 30 countries, Déji found a unique way to share perspectives and challenge norms. He discovered that when he truly believed in his work, his energy and capacity to create value were boundless.

Journey to Think Universal

These experiences and passions paved the way to the creation of Think Universal. Observing the struggles of creative empaths in conventional work environments, Déji was motivated to build an environment that nurtures creativity and inspires individuals to engage with their local and global surroundings. The formation of Think Universal came about almost serendipitously, sparked by a text about an iCloud custom domain feature. Within a few days, the idea had evolved into a tangible business with the purchase of ThinkUniversal.io.
